Key Stage Three, GCSE

The English department wish to inspire pupils, because we believe that imagination as important than knowledge. This means that pupils will have opportunities to explore a wide range of texts from different cultures and communities, both real and fantastical.

We want to empower pupils to be successful in English, by giving them the tools to master key skills and motivating them to achieve their potential within the subject.

We are determined to help pupils improve in English constantly, through the provision of high-quality teaching and learning, communication with parents, exciting resources and texts, as well as individualised Accelerated Reader programmes for every pupil.
