Careers Education is an integral part of a pupil’s education from Year 8 through to Post 16. At Key Stage 3 pupils are involved in Personal Career Planning, Self Awareness and development, Career Exploration and Career Management. Every Year 10 pupil will receive a Careers Guidance interview to assist with GCSE choices.

Key Stage 4

Pupils have excellent opportunities to visit local businesses and employers and benefit from presentations by local entrepreneurs and colleges. Every pupil in Year 12 completes a week’s work experience and has a personal interview with a member of the Northern Ireland Careers Service.

Post 16

Pupils attend Open Days at Universities and Colleges throughout Ireland. To help pupils gain an understanding of university life we have presentations and seminars from universities throughout Britain and Ireland. Pupils complete personal statements and UCAS forms.
