Extra Curricular ActivitiesExtra-curricular activities form an integral part of the education of the whole child and, as such, Malone College offers a busy and varied programme of after school and lunchtime activities, designed to promote health, social awareness and primarily enjoyment. The activities offered reflect the needs and interests of all pupils, as well as the sporting traditions of the two communities in Northern Ireland. At present this consists of sporting activities (eg, cross-country, football, dance, rugby), Guitar club, Singing Club, Band, Language Clubs, Drama, Chess, Charity, Debating/Public Speaking, Book Club, Art, Cookery, ICT, Ichthus, Craft & Technology, Mini-Enterprise, Mastermind, Press Gang, Rambling, GCSE Revision Clubs, Homework Clubs and Sign Language. The College further intends to promote strong links between itself and other primary and post primary schools both at home and abroad. This year the College will participate in the European Union Education Programme, Comenius, in order to establish links with partner schools across Europe.
